Extra Curricular Activities

Our Runner’s and Athletics Club has continued to meet on a regular basis with Mr. Comiskey; Tuesdays and Thursdays for runners and Wednesdays for athletics. We have competed throughout the school year at different local and Inter Schools events with students who attended practices and others that have proven themselves capable and interested in the Physical Education endurance running and athletics units. Students from Years 4 to 13 are welcome to join our club and they can definitely expect to train hard, improve their standard whilst also enjoying the social side of this activity.

The following is a list of the competitions we have taken part in this year:

• Inter House Cross Country (compulsory for all students years 3 to 13).
• International Schools Cross Country (students chosen on merit to represent Runnymede; students from years 4 to 13).
• Alcobendas 1 Mile Road Race.
• Alcobendas International Cross Country.
• Alcobendas Inter Schools Cross Country.
• Aldovea Inter Schools Road Race.
• Colmenarejo Cross Country.
• Inter House Sports Day (compulsory for all students years 3 to 13).
• International Schools Junior Sports Day (students chosen on merit to represent Runnymede).
• International Schools Intermediate Sports Day (students chosen on merit to represent Runnymede).
• International Schools Senior Sports Day (students chosen on merit to represent Runnymede).
• Alcobendas Junior Athletics Competition.
