Year 9 Dance group at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital
There was a subdued excitement in the air as the girls entered the Pediatric ward, unsure as they were of the state the patients would be in and the reception they would get. As soon as the music started, the audience erupted with enthusiasm.
The girls transmitted their youthful energy to the patients and soon some of the latter got up to join in!
It was moving (to say the least) that when the performance was over, the supervisor asked us to improvise some more dances as they patients were so entertained!
Our girls drummed up some new steps and away they went!
We might take them on a road show of hospitals after the run-away success of this show!
