2019/20 was yet another outstanding year for Runnymede in terms of exam results and university admissions.
79% of pupils achieved A*-A at IGCSE and 70% at A Level, with 75% and 71% obtaining A*or A grades in A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics respectively. 86% of the graduating class of 2020 went to university in the UK and the US, with the remainder choosing to study in Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Four of our graduates from 2020 accepted places at Oxford, one at Cambridge, three at Imperial and one at St Andrews. A further seven new graduates embarked on courses at LSE, and thirteen at UCL. 75% of our 2020 graduates choosing to study in the States are doing so so at the Ivy League Colleges Yale, Cornell and UPenn. A growing number of students is also electing to study at prestigious institutions in Spain such as ICADE and the Complutense, and top universities in Switzerland (École hôtelière de Lausanne) and the Netherlands (the University of Amsterdam).
The most popular areas of study amongst the Runnymede leavers of 2020 were Business, Management and Marketing (amounting to a total of 19% of all 2020 graduates). Degrees in Engineering and in the fields of Politics/Philosophy/Economics were tied in second place, at 16%.
