Receptionist-Front Desk School Secretary

The School is looking to recruit a Receptionist-Front Desk Secretary for the office to start immediately.

The successful applicant will:

  • be a native English speaker, bilingual or with a high level of Spanish
  • be well presented with an excellent telephone manner and social, inter personal skills
  • have previous experience of working in a school environment is preferable but not essential
  • have previous work experience as a Receptionist/ Secretary
  • be a team player, organised, punctual, polite, show initiative and be able to work individually without supervision
  • have knowledge & use of common software

EYFS Teacher from September 2019

We are an excellent and well established school based in Madrid looking to recruit an outstanding teacher for an additional Reception class; to join our EYFS team in September 2019.

EYFS Teaching Assistant from September 2019

In fulfilling the requirements of the post the successful candidate will have:

  • NNEB certificate, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning & Development or Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education or equivalent
  • knowledge of the EYFS curriculum

  • the ability to work with individual children, groups or supporting the teacher within the classroom

General terms and conditions of employment

  • Contracts
    All employees of the school - unless they are doing a maternity cover - are on permanent contracts (Contrato de Duración Indefinida).
  • Social Security
    The School pays Social Security contributions for all its employees; this entitles employees to full free medical cover, contribution to state pension and unemployment benefit.
  • Salaries
    Staff at Runnymede College are paid very competitive salaries by local standards. All new members of staff receive a € 1,000 settling-in allowance for those moving from outside Spain.
  • Holidays
    Summer: July and August. Christmas: just over two weeks. Easter: two weeks. Half terms: one week in the first term (end of October / beginning of November) and one week in February. There is no half term in the third term due to the large number of public holidays. Teachers are not expected to work in summer schools.
  • Accommodation
    Although the School does not provide accommodation and does not contribute to defraying the cost of accommodation, new members of staff are helped to find a suitable home by the School.
